What is the download limit for Library-provided electronic resources?

Answer

Commercial use and systematic or excessive downloading of electronic resources is expressly prohibited.

In accordance with terms of use agreements for its owned and subscription-based electronic resources, McDermott Library limits downloads to 150 MB per 30 minute period. If this limit is exceeded or systematic downloading is detected, the account is suspended for two hours, with the following message: File missing:docs/suspend.htm

This does not affect general use of the internet or access to other UT Dallas resources such as Galaxy.
