Q. What is the download limit for library-provided electronic resources?

Answer

Commercial use and systematic or excessive downloading of electronic resources are expressly prohibited.

In accordance with terms of use agreements for its owned and subscription-based electronic resources, McDermott Library limits downloads to 100 MB per 30 minute period. If this limit is exceeded, the account is suspended for two hours, with the following message: File missing:docs/suspend.htm

This does not affect general use of the internet or access to other UT Dallas resources such as Galaxy.
