Q. What is TexShare?

Answer

In short, the TexShare Program is a combined effort of more than 900 statewide public and academic libraries, granting their users access to all participating institutions with the use of a single library card.

UTD faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students: Apply for a TexShare card here or at the Service Desk located on the 2nd floor of McDermott Library to increase your borrowing power! A librarian can help you determine which local libraries may have that book you're searching for.

Guests of UTD Libraries, not affiliated with the University: Register for and receive a TexShare card from your home library, then present this card and your ID to the Service Desk so that we may activate your account with UTD Libraries. See Checkout Policies for Visitors for more information about borrowing privileges as a visiting TexShare member.
