How do I cite in APA, MLA, Turabian?

Answer

APA, MLA, Chicago, and Turabian Style Manuals

Up-to-date manuals for these styles can be found at the Research Services Desk on the 2nd floor at McDermott Library. Please note that your librarian can direct you to the resource and its general navigation, but cannot assist in creation of citations or evaluate your work.

Personal Guidance from UT Dallas Writing Center

UT Dallas students are eligible for citation assistance from the Writing Center by appointment. Visit the Writing Center's homepage for contact information or to schedule your visit. Note: Step-by-step guides for many common citation questions may also be found on their Writer's Resources page.

Online Resources

The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) provides writing and citation style rules and examples in a clear and concise format for both MLA 8th ed. and APA 7th ed.

The American Psychological Association has also expanded their support by offering style rules and examples online at apastyle.apa.org. Click the Style & Grammar Guidelines menu to begin.
