Checkout periods vary by collection and your classification. Loan policies for the general circulating collection are as follows:

• UTD faculty may borrow up to 300 items for a full semester.
• UTD graduate and PhD students, researchers, and librarians may check out up to 150 items for a full semester.
• UTD undergraduates and staff may check out up to 50 items for 21 days.
• All other patrons, including Friends of the Library and TexShare users, may check out up to 5 items for 21 days.

Due dates for materials can be altered (shortened) if another patron places a request or hold on the item or via other exceptions (e.g., a book recalled for Course Reserves).
