Where are the Library's quiet study areas?

Answer

The Eugene McDermott Library strives to provide spaces that accommodate all varieties of study preference.

The noise expectations are as follows:

  • Group study is encouraged at a low noise level.  If unable, please relocate to the Lobby, 1st Floor, or seek to reserve a study room by clicking this link.
  • Please be considerate of your peers.
  • ALL phone conversations should take place in the library lobby.
  • Headphones must be used for devices and computers and cannot be at a loud volume.

  • No cell phone calls, notifications or disturbances.
  • Headphones must be used for devices and computers and cannot be at a loud volume.
  • Study groups and casual talking are only allowed inside reservable study rooms.
  • Floor becomes SILENT after 10:30PM - please see 4th Floor Noise Rating information for more details
