Can I search the catalog with just the Call Number?

Answer

You can search for a call number after you have started a session in the Library Catalog, Articles & More, or Everything search.

You will need to begin with a search in the library catalog to start a session:

Screenshot from library homepage, Library catalog is the default under "Search the library"

Once you have an active session, look for the "Browse" function at the top of the screen

the Browse search is found at the top center of an active library catalog session

The default setting in the search bar is Browse by Author. Change this to Browse by Library of Congress call numbers.

One of the options to browse is Library of Congress Call numbers

Enter the call number and click the search button. A list of close matches should appear.

Click the matching call number to access the detailed record of the book or journal for location and other information.
