Q. What is the One-Button Studio?

Answer

McDermott Library's One-Button Studio is an intuitive creative space where UT Dallas students, faculty and staff can record good quality HD videos with a touch of a button.

How do I use it?

There is no software or equipment to learn! The camera, monitor, microphone and lighting are all ready to go as soon as you insert your USB drive into the dock.

Press Record when you're ready to begin. The video is encoded in real-time, so that your video is ready to be uploaded or shared as soon as your USB drive is removed from the dock.

What can I use it for?

The One-Button Studio can be used to produce many varieties of academic or creative content. Here are just a few ideas:

  • Lectures and presentations
  • Demonstration and instructional modules
  • Mock / practice interviews

The One-Button Studio is available for up to 2 hours at a time, Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
