Can I use Kanopy to stream films to my mobile device or smart TV?

What is Kanopy?
Kanopy is a streaming video service that features documentaries, independent and foreign films, classics, and instructional films, including Kino Lorber and the Criterion Collection. Access is provided by the Eugene McDermott Library to all enrolled students and active faculty and staff at the University of Texas at Dallas.
There are many ways to use Kanopy:
- Internet Browser: From the Library homepage, click the Databases tab, then the letter K.
- Phone/Tablet: Use Google Play or the App Store to add the app to your mobile device.
- WiFi-enabled TV: Add the app to your Roku or smart TV to enjoy Kanopy on the big screen.
Creating your account
App users will need to create an account in order to gain access to the UT Dallas content in Kanopy.
- Download the Kanopy app for your Apple device here, or your Android device here.
- Open the app and click "Get Started."
- Click the "Find University" button.
- Search for University of Texas at Dallas and select it from the list.
- Enter your name and email in netid@utdallas.edu format, and choose a password.
- Click "Sign up" and start adding to your watch list!
