Can retirees borrow from the library and get access to electronic resources?

Answer

Retirees in good standing with the university may borrow physical materials such as books and media items.

Retirees* cannot get remote access to electronic materials due to restrictions placed on the university via legal agreements.

Retirees can access some electronic materials by coming to the library in person, where they can access a Community User (CU) station. The CU station grants access to most databases, online journals, and ebooks, but it does not include them all. Please check in advance with the library if a certain resource will be available before traveling to campus.

See the subsection for retirees on Borrowing from the Library for more details.

* Emeritus faculty do retain remote electronic access privileges.
