How do I search for historic stock prices? (Factiva)

The library has several resources such as the Wall Street Journal, Standard & Poor's NetAdvantage (Capital IQ), and Factiva for locating historic stock prices. The following instructions are for Factiva (Dow Jones & Reuters):

Factiva provides access to daily stock prices from the present up to five years in the past.

To access Factiva, start at the library’s homepage (https://library.utdallas.edu/) and then:

  • Click the Databases tab, then click on the letter "F":

  • Select Factiva from the "F" list (direct link).
  • In Factiva, hover on "Companies/Markets" dropdown then click on Company:

  • Search by company name or ticker:

  • In the detailed results for the company, click on the stock chart for multiple options:
