Where can I find photos of UTD, the library, and university events (stock and historical photos)?
Answer
Please note that the University of Texas at Dallas does not publish a yearbook. For historical and current photos of the university, the library recommends seeking access to The Mercury, the university's student-run newspaper, and the University Archives. UTD staff and faculty may access the MediaGraph Photo Library for additional content. Details on accessing these resources are below.
Stock Photos of the University (campus departments, building exteriors, classrooms, and events, including the library)
- MediaGraph Photo Library - a comprehensive collection of digital photos available to university faculty and staff only (requires NetID login). Access thousands of photos taken in and around the university. See the Brand Standards page -> Photography for guidelines on the use of MediaGraph photos.
Historical University Photos (university news, events, and people)
- UTD Mercury - UTD's student-run newspaper since 1980. Access issues online dating back to the 2010s. The paper will contain stories and photos of noteworthy events, people, and places on campus.
- University Archives - maintained by the Eugene McDermott Library, the University Archives houses physical and digital documents and artifacts related to UTD's history:
- Search the University Archives to search/browse information on physical collections (e.g., documents, photos, and personal papers).
- View the University Archives digital collections on Treasures @ UT Dallas to search/browse digitized materials from UTD's past (e.g., photos and documents).
- Search titles in the University Archives to search/browse all holdings (physical and online) in the University Archives, which includes publications such as The Mercury (1980-2014), undergraduate catalogs, and graduate catalogs.
